I was going to hang out with MY today and I was going to catch the bus to meet up with her. I was super pissed when I missed it (the detours around the hospital keep changing) and I got to her late. But I suppose it's good that I missed it, saw Angel-boy and his brother around State St and asked why they were there.

Later MY and I joined them and the couple hundred others at the Federal Courthouse.

Also today, the school board turned over its previous decision to name the elementary school after General Vang Pao. I understand why, but like so many of the Hmong elders I talked with, it's the same again and again. Every promise the mee-gah make, they break. They did what was asked of them in the war and putting in a name for the school; then they were kept in Thailand and Laos, and they have the school name changed again.

It's disappointing, but it's politics.
